For two weeks the whole of Edmund Hillary School are going to Massey Park Pools for swimming lessons. Today thirteen kids of Room 10 swam and nine of us sat aside to watch. Those who sat out were to read a book or chat quietly and the others were following their swimming instructors commands. The lesson that the swimmers were learning about was the importance of life jackets and being able to lay on your back and call for help in emergencies.

Thank you for your post. I like your attentiveness even though you weren't actively participating in the swimming. Do you think swimming is a vital life skill?
