I am a Year 7 student at Edmund Hillary School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 10 and my teacher is Peta. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first draft. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.
Thank you for sharing your venn diagram comparing and contrasting Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart's aviation histories. I didn't know that Amelia Earhart was the first female aviator to fly across the Atlantic ocean. Keep up the great sharing. Ka Pai!
Lovely venn diagram - how did you find this activity? Do you use venn diagrams often at school? How great is it that both of these aviators were women?! I'm really proud of this fact and especially proud that one of them is a New Zealander. When I was your age I really wanted to be a pilot - my friend's Dad had a flight simulator at their house and I used to play on it all the time and practice taking off and landing. It really isn't that easy and imagine the pressure of carrying passengers!
